The windows of Ferragamo pay tribute to a part of an exhibition that is being displayed at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in Florence. “It’s the first time the museum takes on such an important and intricate subject,” said Salvatore Ferragamo chairman Ferruccio Ferragamo, referring to the theme chosen by curators Stefania Ricci, Sergio Risaliti and Luca Scarlini for the exhibition. It revolves around the key and magical role of shoes in fairy tales, myths and legends from ancient times to the present day. Of course, a significant space is dedicated to the story of Salvatore Ferragamo. Organized in different rooms, the exhibition combines different art forms, from sculpture, watercolor painting and classical music: from the WDD article by Alessandra Turra. A graphic novel created by Frank Espinosa is the feature of the windows. The beautiful art is displayed perfectly in large oversize panels, with text under to connect the story. This is not only a great nod to the local New York artist, but a great tie-in to the museums exhibit and a nice bold bright Father's Day window.
