A flocked oval...

Rich looking window from Bvlgari. the fabric print adds a nice fair of drama and the little vented risers are fun.  Great tie-in with the graphic wrap on the upper windows.

Picture this...

Club Monaco's latest window. Nothing too original, we have seen frames before, but their execution is always clean and the composition is flawless. I do like the store entry with the manniquiens piled in the "frame" boxes. Nice touch! Frame it up...

A weekend in the country...

Ralph Lauren's Fall Double RL window at the mansion. The detail is incredible: wall texture, thatch roof, doors, an antique motorcycle... check out the little door next to the door. All that is missing is a few chickens!

Who wears the pants...?

Another retailer with a pant fit window. This time it is Ann Taylor. Large sketches of the fits are placed on the wall behind mannequins and the name of the fit is on the glass in vinyl.  I wish mannequins were shifted a few feet either left or right to showcase the graphic and complete the  fit story with the mannequin. They finally solved the problem of graphics with large prints and scale. The image has a nice complement to the mannequins (although there is still a lot of space in between). So much better!

A view from the bridge...

Ralph Lauren creates an interesting window for Black Label denim.  It is an interesting choise to build a replica of a suspension bridge. Details are great with the lights on the cables, but the city scape backdrop looks like it has a scale issue and a few wrinkles.

Bags and ribbons...

This is so simple!  Dolce and Gabbana placed a black rolling rack in the window, and hung handbags and footwear with ribbon from the bar. Great way to showcase without and lot of bells and whistles.

Push back the chair...

A beautiful window at Reed Karkoff.  Perfect composition with a cluster of bustforms and two chairs, perfectly placed for depth.  I love the way the handbags are placed and hung on the chairs. The metallic apparel completes the simplicity and elegance.  Beautiful!

She's got legs...

It appears every women's retailer has their own system for different fits for bottoms, and each one creates a different name for each of the fits. Talbot's wrapped the glass in vinyl with the type of fit, and used the bottom of the window with legs forms. Although simple, it tells the message. I do not like how they added handbags to the forms, it takes away from the focus of the pants. The handbags should be their own story in a different window. Best foot ... I mean leg forward.

Rear window...

Black Label at Ralph Lauren. Beautiful chrome furniture, incredible artwork and perfect detail in the lead glass windows.  Look at the cityscape shown through the glass, and how beautiful the black collection reflects off it.

Into the woods...

Tall bundles of branches, fashion and handbags and its Fall at Donna Karen.  I love all the wood and how the mannequins pop off the background.  Always dramatic!

Flyby...

Great window at Saks to add a little movement to a window. Toy planes are mounted to swirling wire. The results some great backdrop to surround the mannequins. just a fun window.  Great little detail to add a colored plane, although the multi unit one color with a contrast pop has been really been done so many times.
