From the crate...

Double RL windows at the mansion. A few old crates, a wooden pull wagon, stacks of denim, and those incredible colored windows. All that is missing is an old Studebaker!

Alice ( and Olivia ) in Madisonland...

A great little POP-up shop from Alice and Olivia on Madison Avenue. Great store front featuring great whimsy. I love the window the mannequin torso on the floor and her legs stuck in the truck above. Fun!

Being beige...

Beige, beige, beige... I do not know how much to take, the beige everything or the fuzzy floor. This window just does not have any "color" to it.

Having some Guinness and Blow...

The Daphne Guinness and Isabella Blow collections.  Barney's celebrates the collections that will be showcased at FIT. Some the pics are blurry from the reflection of the black wall.  From the vinyl description on window one:  Daphne, a British artist and member of the Guinness family, is renowned for her experimental and eclectic sartorially taste. Her fascination with style has resulted in a clothing collection - from couture gowns to unknown designer pieces - that is exceptional due to it's range and depth, along with the rarity of some of her selections. Guinness's collection will be featured in an exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Technology dedicated to define and illustrate her personal style. From window two: Isabella Blow was a fashion icon, editor and designer's muse, whose style epitomized English eccentricity. Blow discovered and was instrumental in neutering the careers of both Alexander McQueen and Phillip Treacy. Her museum-worthy clothing collection was purchased in its entirety after her death by her close friend Daphne Guinness to ensure that it would remain intact rather being sold at auction. The exhibit features selections from McQueen,  Phillip Treacy hats, Yoshiki Hishinuma and many others. An incredible part of history.

She sells seashells...

Summertime for Ralph kids. A day at the boardwalk. As always the details are beyond. Love the old fashion hanging signs. The buoys wall is a little intense, but in content with all the other windows it's perfect. Where is the salt water taffy?

The beaded double "C"

Elegant window for Chanel. The mannequin styling is exquisite.  Incredible bee-hive hair, apparel and accessories. Love that oversized mirror.  Beautiful!!

Purple summer...

Well it look like we are going to be seeing the bustform set up at RK for a while -- sigh. Here is the latest re-fresh to purple.

Micheal BORING...

While there is nothing wrong with these windows:  clean, simple, current. They are so boring for MK flagship on Madison avenue. They are the same since opening, just the apparel and accessories change.  This is great for the mall stores but for a flagship?

She's gone...

One of my least favorite stores with tacky windows has closed up shop ... maybe better windows would have helped!!  The last window was hideous: The eye does not have it

Furniture world...

I hate this window.  This looks more like an more expensive version of a window for West Elm or Bloomingdale's than at a Ralph Lauren flagship.  The multi-levels a furniture pieces with text descriptions...ugh.  Especially tacky when this furniture is in the 2K+ range.

Castle on a cloud...

Here comes summer! BG divided the 5th avenue windows into two parts. Windows one and two are a little more of a fantasy summer theme.. window 1 -- with a great blue beach scene with a floating sand castle. I love the mannequin climbing the ladder.  Window two is a garden scene with a friendly gnome watching the action.  Check out the legs floating above hold an umbrella.
