I have to admit, I really miss Simon's windows at Barney's. The guest designer thing was fun for a month or two - but these installations stay up --way too long. and Christmas is just not the same without Simon! This holiday, Barney's seems to have made a pack with the commercial devil and partnered with Disney! Do not get me wrong, if these windows were at Macy's or Bloomies I wouldn't complain so much, but not Barney's. That being said the windows are really dull. Multi LED lights are synced to music and media screens. Lights crawl up the front of the building and are synced as well. These windows are named" Electric Holiday" and show a little Disney featurette. I actually enjoy the little cartoon --besides all the controversy that it created with groups concerned about self esteem. The cartoon features Minni Mouse dreaming she becomes a Paris runway model. Minnie and her friends look like they do anytime UNTIL the walk out on the runway and become the "elongated" fashion model look. It is fun --- too bad the rest of the window does not get any more exciting! Especially since all the windows look the same. Simon come back!!
