Tree skirt...

I do not understand this window, especially since it comes from a master like Oscar de le Renta.  What is this ??   A simple boring top, and what is that skirt?  Looks like left overs from a very bad centerpiece from five years ago. And where are her arms!??? Sweep this up...

Papier-mâché winter...

Oh Anthropologie how amazing are you... The flagship at Rockefeller Center. Incredible details throughout all the windows: from the animals, the lanterns, the trees, the script and scrolls. So many people walked right by these masterpieces,  and do not even look at these details. I love the animals stacked on each other backs. Classic craft movement, classic holiday dazzle, classic Anthropologie...

Take a stand...

J Crew's Men's Store.  Simple and clean - love the repetition of the tree stand on the wall, the old style Christmas lights, and the single tree. I also think the use of the stacked stands to showcase the product is brilliant. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree...

Gift list...

I love these windows at Burton.  A gift list in the window, broken down by price point.  Great balance, great use of props. great use of product. This is a great example how product can be the focus and still have some creative fun.  Checking my list...

The mark of Chanel...

Chanel's windows for Holiday. Looking like a little chambre, a nice change for the season. I like the colored hair and of course the incredilbe styling.  The little "double C" on the cheek is a special detail...

Dior on Ice ...

A moment frozen in time, Dior's windows are beautifully constructed with an Ice fireplace, walls, and a chair. - perfect for the Holiday season.

Mylar holiday ...

Although i think this window is more on the tacky side, Burberry's holiday windows look more like a display from a Hallmark store.  I will give credit that the execution, the construction of the actual balloons and the merchandising is top notch.  Up, up and away...

Around the world...

Taking a section from different parts of the world, Lord and Taylor celebrates 75 years of animated windows.   Always so detailed in the little worlds, these certainly place a smile on the face. I do have to admit my favorite is the Santa window with the reindeer helping and all the books on the shelves that are titled with all the different gifts. Buon Natale; Feliz Natal; メリークリスマス; С Рождеством; Vrolijk kerstfeest; God jul; Veselé vánoce...
