Eyeliner and lines...

Bold impactful window from Gucci.  Huge lightbox images almost overpowers this window with the two models and their heavy eyeliner.  Maybe I am reading way too into this, but love how the thick eyeliner works with the lines on the window and the apparel.  Nice way to push into Spring...

Brighten up the winter blues...

There is no lack of color in the windows at Herve Leger .  So 60's retro with light boxes, big circles and color. I like the features of the mannequins and how simple they are against the busy background. It's stained glass for winter...

Love is much like a wild rose...

Tory Burch creates a Valentine window.  Simplest in idea; two mannequins, but the large 3D rose is what makes this window.  Nice work on the petals, it could have been a tacky prop; but the details are nice and premium. As much as the apparel blends into the backdrop, in this case I do like the consistency with color.  Stop to smell the roses...

Pull up a chair...

A great creative and fun window from Reed Karkoff. Love the wall of flannel little chairs in front of the large one with the three hand bags.  Great fun detail that the little chairs have mini hang bags on assorted ones.  Great window in composition and balance,  and really fills the window space. Is this chair taken...?

Henri loves Anna

Henri Bendel pays tribute to NY Fashion Week and a nod to Anna Wintour.  Clean and simple: black chairs ready for the runway - and a perfect mannequin tribute looking like Anna.  Love the proportion of her and the trademark bob and glasses. Great little detail with swag bags under the chairs.  Ready for the runway...

Painted love...

Beautiful artistic window from Anthropologie in Chelsea Market. Painted canvases hang on the line to dry.  Great details with props with brushes, paint jars, ladders and paint.  These series of windows have a great composition of balance with the props and bustform with apparel. Paint the picture...

Love is in the "air"...

Hugo Boss creates an interesting window using hanging glass terrariums with flowers, moss and plants.  On each vase is written a Valentine saying or a red heart.  Another window features the latest in Spring couture from HB and a single terrariums with miniature little figurines dancing. Torn in my opinion, it is a different type of window...

Needle and thread...

With a part of this window looking looking like the Women's "we can  do it" ad, the 14th Street Levi store creates a great window with great denim stylized mannequins - love the kerchief- a giant needle and over sized spools of thread. I love how simple this window is, but creates such fun energy. It "Does it" ...

Heart and "Sole"...

Bergdorf Goodman creates an incredible Moulin Rouge window salute to Christian Louboutin. Famous for that red underside, the window uses mannequins that focus their leg and foot to showcase that red sole. Love all the red shred, the stacked chairs, and all the lighted letters. Great entry display with all the red streamers and mirrored balls.  So SOLE worthy...
