A great way to display Chandeliers for the holiday at Gracious Home. The flocked branches against the crystal beads and the dark background is the perfect contrast. I like the raised snow bank to give height, adds a great depth and fills the bottom of the window, which might have just been flat. If a chandelier is lighted in the forest ...

Coming in for a landing...
Fendi "drops" into it's new flagship location on the corner Madison Ave. I love the bold bright blue background against the yellow Fendi boxes. Great whimsy with handbags, gift boxes and mannequins dropping in with parachutes. The mannequin poses are perfectly in tune to the theme ( I comment as many times this is not true ), and it is a great touch for the main windows to allow great sightlines into the new store. Bold and direct and welcoming. No crash landings here ...
New York at Christmas...
Coach takes the New York skyline to create a bold window of color and fun. A well constructed - (and full of details) buildings, with prefect muted colored windows created a background for the seasons best. Water towers, iron beams and moving helicopters finish the look. I like this nice different take on holiday and a perfect salute to the city during it's best... Taxi!...
First snow of the season...
Clean window from David Yurman. This simple looking background provides great depth and keeps the focus on the jewelry showcased for the season. On a closer look, these little snowflake stars have great details of 3D and are lighted - and the pattern has a great balance for the eye. Great execution that only a third are lighted, creating a nice simple mix that does not overpower. So "cool" to the senses...
Accessorize me...
Prada for Holiday. Basic window - nothing to exciting, however the composition of all the accessories is beautiful. Well balanced, thoughtfully arranged and perfect for gift giving. Old school visual accessories merchandising at its best. Ring me up...
Springtime for Christmas...
Micheal Kors finally breaks the store architecture and changes the backs of the windows, however I am confused on why such a spring background was chosen. December window certainly do not have to reflect a Holiday theme, but the use of flower and green clover seems odd. If the flowers were frozen or the background not clover but ivy? Also the use of miniature strobe lights intermixed - just makes a confusing focus. The apparel being a sweater certainly leads to colder weather versus a preview of Spring. Flower power...

Freeze frame...
John Varvatos added a beautiful stone arch covered in ice for the holiday. The arch with the large frame opening allow the consumer to see into the store while still adding depth and texture to the window. The ice blocks on the floor with bags and accessories adds a great gift giving touch, and the frosty garland completes the look. Nothing to freeze at...
