Springtime for Christmas...

Micheal Kors finally breaks the store architecture and changes the backs of the windows, however I am confused on why such a spring background was chosen.  December window certainly do not have to reflect a Holiday theme, but the use of flower and green clover seems odd.  If the flowers were frozen or the background not clover but ivy? Also the use of miniature strobe lights intermixed - just makes a confusing focus.  The apparel being a sweater certainly leads to colder weather versus a preview of Spring. Flower power...

Madison Kors...

Micheal Kors opens his largest lifestyle store and the second Madison Avenue location at  sixty-first street. Waiting for the ball to drop...

Adding a few props ( Finally!), Micheal Kors creates a simple, clean, elegant window.  Love the metallic bulbs around the mannequin feet to compliment the black and gold fashion. Dress up the Holiday!

Tiers of equality...

Usually not a fan of the windows of Micheal Kors, but at the Broadway door they are perfect for June.  With a partnership with HRC, the windows contain several four-tier wedding cakes with same-sex toppers to celebrate the up-coming vote for Marriage Equality in NYC.  A nice touch are the glasses of champagne on the shelves!

Micheal BORING...

While there is nothing wrong with these windows:  clean, simple, current. They are so boring for MK flagship on Madison avenue. They are the same since opening, just the apparel and accessories change.  This is great for the mall stores but for a flagship?

Another opening...

Micheal Kors opens his new store on Madison.  The displays are super simple, clean and coordinated, but this looks like any of the Kors stores in any mall... nothing special especially for a new store on the Avenue!

Project Help!

Micheal Kors... black and white is classic and very NYC -- however sometimes simple needs more -- the mannequins are spread apart apart too much and lack of a focal point -- maybe adding a prop like a large closed umbrella to complete a resort theme...
