Tag, you're it...

Clever window at J Crew. Using the holiday staple of a "gift tag", simple plain solid ones in different shades create wreaths and line the back walls.  A large oversized tag is used for a Holiday check list.  Put this on your list!

Can I Hold Your Chair?...

Reed Karkoff has used the "chair" theme many, many times. But each time is fresh and different. This Holiday, the glow of neon adds a great Holiday atmosphere. Clean and Simple and Chairful!

Snow drift...

Another theme of the season this year is "snow" windows. David Yurman takes his view on the theme; a snow bank, a white rabbit, and simple origami wreath. The background graphic of line art trees keeps this window so simple and clean but adds a great layer of depth. I love how pieces of the wreath have fallen on the snow. I would have loved to see the jewelry displays on tree branches or something similar then using the display forms. This window does put  a smile on your face.

Sparkle Safari...

A fun glittery window for Holiday from Robert Cavalli.  I love the animals, especially the beautiful leopard. I am a little confused how the fashion ties back to the jungle animal theme, but a great example how to create a one of a kind window for the season.

Oh what a circus!...

The Holiday windows at Bloomingdales.  A common theme this is year is retail adding a commercial partner. Bloomies joins the crown and created windows based off the release of the Cirque du Soleil movie: Worlds Away 3D.  Striking...yes: Creepy figurines...yes.  It really saddens me that with thousands of ideas to use for a window, the Holiday window is a movie tie- in. Last year's windows with the vintage shopping bags was so inventive, this is what is available this year? What a circus indeed!...

Baby, It's Cold Inside...

Ralph Lauren's Women's Store windows... with the idea of leaving the door open, winter's cold hand invades the mansion. Details of frosted windows, icicles, ice on the mirrors, and white birds take us to the frozen interior. I love how even the chandelier inside the store reflects the coldness of the windows. Beautiful windows to end the year...
