Chanel takes the lace pattern of their pant bottoms, and uses them to create a simple pretty background for their windows. The use of the layers of the lace plexi adds a nice depth and the thin white tables keeps the light airy feel consistent. See the patterns...

Bohemian Christmas...
Beautiful flocked trees against white walls with gold trim at Chanel. Great contrast of sculpted ornaments and black ribbons with the bright couture fashion. Love the mannequin styling with full curly hair and beaded head dresses. Deck the halls...

The mark of Chanel...
Chanel's windows for Holiday. Looking like a little chambre, a nice change for the season. I like the colored hair and of course the incredilbe styling. The little "double C" on the cheek is a special detail...

Never forget...
On this day of September 11 in NYC, retail takes a moment to remember. Here is an assortment of the ads from the New York Times. Macy's sums it up the best:
Hug your children,
spend the day with family
think of an old friend
wave to your neighbor
go for a long walk
light a candle
share your thoughts
take a moments for yourself
be there for someone else
watch the sunset
look forward to sunrise

Rows of chairs...
Chanel creates a window in perfect timing for Fashion Week. Rows of chairs, a few mannequins and a plasma screen that doubles as a large handbag. Love all the layers of apparel, Fall is in the air. Save us a seat!

Eastern Exotic...
Last month Dior took us to Russia. This time Chanel is taking us to India. The beading on the frocks is incredible, and the display texture of the flooring with the print and pillow is perfect. Perfect execution of the displays with bags, hats and footwear on the pillows. Namaste!

Tea party...
The Chanel windows are fun for Spring, but feel just a little crowded, and the mannequin laying on the chaise looks like she is going to roll off. I still like them though.
