Beautiful window from Gucci for the Lunar New Year.   From side to side, top to bottom the windows are filled with disks painted with Asian inspired artwork. I love the use of solid featureless mannequins allowing the apparel to pop away from the backdrop.  Disk drive...

 

 

Bouquet d’Arums...

Beautiful, beautiful window from Gucci.  Looking like the prints floated off the dresses were formed into 3D.  This window is so over top perfect for the season.  The black wall with pastel botanicals create a perfect background for the large oversize 3D flowers. Jolies fleurs...!

 

 

And away they all flew like the down of the thistle...

Not really feeling this window from Gucci. The two mannequins tossing presents to each other is feels forced and is missing a sense of drama.  I want some tag line, text, 3D letters of something to fill the lower half of the window.  It's blowing in the wind...

 

 

Buckle me down...

Beautiful window from Gucci.  Creating swings made with the classic buckle; displaying handbags, footwear and apparel. I love how clean, simple and elegant this window is.  Hang in there ...

Eyeliner and lines...

Bold impactful window from Gucci.  Huge lightbox images almost overpowers this window with the two models and their heavy eyeliner.  Maybe I am reading way too into this, but love how the thick eyeliner works with the lines on the window and the apparel.  Nice way to push into Spring...

Twinkle, Twinkle, little star...

Fun bold windows from Gucci for Holiday. Large lighted stars hang on the front of building, and ties together with the windows. Cut out stars fall out of large lighted panels surrounded by the products of the season; another window has a large multi layed gold inlaid star. Love the look for the season... how I wonder where you are...

G kids...

Gucci opens its new Children's store as adjacent to it's Flagship store on Fifth Avenue. Love the grapics in the lightbox, perfect for the whimsey of the holiday. Nothing to exciting from a display execution, but it is fun to see Gucci shrunk down to a little size!

Fashion Polaroids...

Gucci's October windows uses large Polaroid cut offs that display the looks of Fall. Great mannequin styling and great composition for the accessories clusters. I love the huge face duratran image. Great impact.  Say Gucci!

Florence Museo...

Celebrating the opening of the Gucci museum in Florence, the windows on Fifth avenue use colored plexi shaped as building silhouettes to showcase the latest collection. Fun colorful and a great launch for new museum.  Time to brush up on your Gucci history!

She's got legs...and hands...and...

Gucci creates staircases with leg forms to highlight footwear and hand forms with handbags... I really do not get it.  the hat heads, the hands, the legs and then the mannequins - from a story telling point of view I get the head to toe look, but there is a lot going on... ( also - someone needs to check up on daily maintenance, one of the shoes fell off!!)

Postcards from the edge...

I love this window - a perfect postcard-- the background is nice, the ripple vinyl on the glass, the address, the salutation and even a post-mark -- brilliant!
