Film noir...

Ralph Lauren in classic black and white.  Its the time frame that makes you think of Ralph Lauren. Always sophisticated, always classic, always Ralph...

Bring May flowers...

Huge bouquets of pink flowers create a simple window for Donna Karen.  Nice transition window between seasons.  Pretty in pink...

Nautical swing...

Longchamp creates a Nautical window that is shiny and new. Rope, sails, brass and swings...  add to a nice summer scene. The mannequin pose is a little awkward in composition though, a different pose would be a little more complementary to the props.  Swings in a nautical theme are a little strange, but with the thick ropes it does make some interesting texture out of the box. Sail away...

Pool Time...

Hermes creates a sophisticated window perfect for the Summer, Beautiful hardwood surrounds a blue mirror creating a pool deck to show off the summer fashion of apparel, handbags, footwear, accessories and home fashion.  The mirror is so perfect, it is hard to believe in the summer sum that it is not water.  Love the floating life preserver!  Lets take a dip..

Taracotta sheep skins...

I would never think I would be adding a window from Ugg's, but there is a simple execution here.   The presentation of the jar and the bricks really complements the nice rustic photographic.  The sandals match this complete presentation, but then they add that sheep skin.  Baaaaaaaaaaaaa....

Flower "over"power...

A very overpowering window from Tod's.  While in concept I do like it, they execution of the wall of flowers is so overpowering you can not even see the very product that they are featuring.  A nice solid backdrop behind each handbag, wallet or footwear would do the trick- allowing the eye to focus on the product and not the thousands of flowers. The wall of ivy is for their Men's line. I will have to give them the quality  of the artificially flowers is "tod" notch!...

Top of my head...

Barney's window from mid May. Celebrating 60 years of Chloe, past designs were added to incredible window displays:   pop of color of mod prints with Karl Lagerfeld 1971(love the string boxes) ; A musical tribute with Karl Lagerfeld 1983 - the hair of instruments is beyond fabulous; A circular waterfall from Karl 1983 - the circular is water falling down the wires, the hair treatment is amazing; and my favorite the knitted hair and mannequins with Karl Winter 1983- look at the detail of the knitted mannequins and how the hair is drawn from them - all hair treatments were created by the talented Bob Recine. Celebrate!!
