On the white steed...

A dramatic window from Hermes! The rearing horse pulling off the table cloth for the tabletop collection, the "Dali-esce" windows with hounds and hands; and the over sized dresser with larger than life bangles ( that spin). A beautiful window. I love the lightbox on the side of the store that can showcase a scarf, turning it into a tribute to stained glass...

Wedding bells will ring...

I never thought I would praise a window made with crate paper wedding bells. The use of many of the honeycomb decorations in repetition, and the use of the  ribbons makes this fun window perfect for June gifts.

With grains of sand...

A serene beach scene with driftwood frame, showcasing the CK home collection. Snuggle with a blanket on the chair... and Escape...a perfect summer window.

God save McQueen...

Alexander McQueen, you left us so early. In celebration of the MET's exhibit of McQueen, our friends at BG create once again the most incredible over top windows. How fitting since Alexander was an over-the-top designer.  The white window is all candle wax! The Red window is feathers! The silver window uses mirrors and that all beyond natural footwear!  God save McQueen!

Put a ring on it...

A Post-it? A love letter?  Seriously it could not get more simple and yet so wonderful ( the $$$ bling does not hurt either )  The iphone window has a live IM feed of two lovers chatting - brilliant! Oh Tiffany's, you are still the master of the shadow box window!

Grab a rope...

Well part of my fear is coming true at Burberry.  The shadow boxes created last month are still around. They do feel totally different than last month, but it looks like they might stay around past their welcome.  I do love neutrals and nice clean window. The rope images, especially in the shadow boxes tend to get a little busy and we lose the mannequin and accessories against it.

The year of the...

Rabbit, or the Dragon, or the Snake, or the Horse, or the ... another public art display. This one is in the fountain in front of The Plaza hotel. Now through July 15,  Artist Ai Weiwei's "Zodiac Heads" are on display, inspired by the zodiac heads that graced the Yuanming Yuan fountain from the 18th century. I love the look of them although the Rabbit and the Rat look a little cartoonish -compared to the others.
